My Locks are now One year old and I still love them! I couldn't asked for a better, more versitile hair situation that fits my lifestyle as good as Sisterlocks.
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Here's some photos over the last few months to catch you up! I have a few more to upload from my phone that I'll post later. Blessings!

Almost 6 months!
It's been almost 6 months! I can't believe it. It's been awhile and today has been declared an Ice day (no work) so I decided what better way to spend a portion of my day than updating my long overdue Sisterlocks blog!
I still love my hair! I love not having to worry about what I'm going to do with my hair every day or even during special occassions.
I got my hair retightened about a week and a half ago. My consultant said that she did find about 4 buds so I am making some progress. Since I got my hair loc'd when it was already 13" long, I know that it's going to take longer for it to loc. But I am going to remain patient and embrace every stage.
Here are a few pictures of my hair over the past few months...
You can't really tell from this angle but my hair was twisted on the side and pulled back into a ponytail here.
Hubby and I dropping the kids off at NaNa's house before a night out.
Visiting my little sis (on the left) and my best friend from highschool (on the right) in ATL.
Right after a wash! I love the natural shrinkage.
This is after a braidout that's a couple of days old.
Just because...
This is my hair when it's fully shrunken. I love it! I shrinks into a bob. :-)
My hair is stretched here. I just braided it into one big french braid down the middle the night before. It gives good stretch but it also makes it look thinner. :-(
This was my faux-hawk I wore on the night I performed a hip hop dance at my church. I wish I would of gotten better photos before. This was after the performance.

Sisterlocks 2 month-versary
My post is a little late, but 2 months went by so fast that I've hardly had a chance to update. Here's a photo of my hair at 2 months. I still love my locks. So thankful for my decision despite what others think! #unshakeable #unmoveable #marchtothebeatofmyowndrum #bestdecisionever

1 month-versary with my Sisterlocks!
Today is October 1st and it has been officially 1 month since the completion of my install. So far, this has been the best decision ever! I love the ease, convenience and versatility of styling. I also love the fact that my Sisterlocks allow my hair to hang a little longer than it used to when I was a loose natural--I had unbelievable shrinkage!
Here's a pic from today. Sorry, just decided to bun it today!

3 weeks and counting! Sisterlocks updo.
It's been three weeks since the install. I still love my locs. One of my locs in the front is experiencing some slippage.
For church today, I decided to try something a little different...my first updo!

Sisterlocks...2 weeks old
What a quick two weeks! I am still unsure what to do with the ends but I am still enjoying my freedom!
